There’s less than six months to go before a deadline to a global deal on how to tax the digital world comes to an end. Negotiators at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development met last in the latest round of talks, with tensions still high between the United States and others over how the likes of Facebook, Amazon and Google should pay into national accounts around the world. This call will outline where things stand, what issues are in play and what is the likely outcome now that there is a new U.S. president in the White House and European Union countries continue to push ahead with their own digital services tax regimes in case a global agreement cannot be reached by the summer.
